The most important project in C-Pack ML1 has been further delayed, despite the approval of ECNEC, work on the project is unlikely to start this year, the government said. Fiscal year set a goal to lay the foundation stone of the project.

According to sources, the government's targets for the current financial year do not include the cornerstone of the ML-1 project.

 It has been more than a year since the L1 was approved, but the government has set a target of laying the groundwork for the project in the next financial year. It was further informed that both Pakistan and China have drafted loan terms and conditions for the project on which an agreement is likely to be reached soon.

 Tender for ML1 project will be issued after consensus. According to sources, the ML1 project is proposed to be completed in three different phases. In the first phase, it is proposed to complete Package One of 2 2.4 billion and not to include Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
