big decision regarding easing of travel restrictions imposed on 10 countries
including Pakistan and India. The Saudi government has allowed certain Saudi
residency holders stranded in countries on the travel ban list to return to the
country directly.
According to the Saudi
Gazette, initially the Saudi government only allowed foreign employees from the
education sector to return to the country. All foreign teachers and other
employees from schools, colleges, universities and technical education
institutions from 10 countries on the travel ban list are now allowed to return
directly to Saudi Arabia.
It is also clarified here that foreign residency holders in the education sector who have not yet been vaccinated against coronavirus will be allowed to return to Saudi Arabia, but will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine upon arrival in the kingdom.
At
the same time, they will have to be vaccinated against any coronavirus approved
by the Saudi government. It should be noted that the Saudi government banned
the direct entry of passengers from Pakistan, India, Turkey, Indonesia, Egypt,
Brazil, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Lebanon to Saudi Arabia several
